More toxic: Mullen/Freeze Egg Bowl era or Kiffin Magnolia Bowl era going forward?

The Egg Bowl rivalry got dangerously toxic a decade ago, but I’m thinking Ole Miss / LSU going forward might top it. This entire website is bonkers with no relief in sight.
In related news, Kiffin really isn’t doing anything surprising or outrageous as far as tampering goes. Ole Miss media is probably being a bit dramatic about it. Every program loses players, especially after as seismic a coaching change as we’ve gone through. All I can hope for is that the Ole Miss enforces what they can. You can’t have kids jumping into the portal after signing agreements to return. It’s is a bridge too far IMO, and you can’t let it go unchallenged. I say that for all programs, not just the one I root for.

I think Magnolia Bowl has moved into top out of state rivalry games
Tennessee vs Bama
Florida vs UGA
LSU vs Ole Miss
UGA vs Auburn
The in state games are different kind of rivalry game. You are neighbors with your instate rival, but when an out of state rival comes to town you want to chase them to the border. Big brother vs little brother is still family. Pure hatred for the people on the other side of the border

Will depend on how the series goes for OM. If the can consistently beat LSU, the Egg Bowl will become an afterthought…..
