Does that mean there is no more movement? What happens to the ones in the portal that weren't as good as they thought they were and didn't get picked up?

The way I understand it is no one can enter after tomorrow but tomorrow isn't a deadline for all players to commit

They're put on ebay and go to the highest bidder.

The teams in the national championship still have extra time!

I think their scholarships are terminated if they find themselves in the portal with no takers and they can't practice in the spring with any team. Locked out until summer at least.

A school can not cancel a scholarship if a player enters the portal.
However, scholarships are year-to-year agreements. They can’t cancel the current one, but they don’t have to give him another one.
The ‘student’ would be able to remain in school on a scholarship through the Spring Semester, maybe even through the Summer, but there is nothing to prevent a school from not renewing it for the next academic year.
He can stay in school, remain in good academic standing (if that even matters to the NCAA anymore), and try to find somewhere new over the summer.

The deadline is just for players to enter the portal. You will still see a lot of players committing/signing with teams. I'm sure we'll see a lot of players jump in the portal before midnight.
