Who Does A Better Job Evaluating/Ranking Transfers - On3 or 24/7

There are some wildly different rankings between the two. Who does a better job? My gut says On3, simply because overall they seem to have been more accurate the last few years than 24/7. Does anyone have anything quantitative that shows one is better than the other? There is lots of discussion about it to be found online, but nothing concrete.

Depends on which one ranks my team’s incomings higher and my outgoings lower.

247 is easier to read, for a blind motherfricker like me.

I prefer On3 for UGA specific and overall.

Here is how the two ranked some of this past year’s transfer players.

Mendoza: 24/7 - #22; On3 - #12

Beck: 24/7 -#4; On3 - #1

Nico: 24/7 - #1; On3 - #2

Mateer: 24/7 - #6, On3 - #3

Kromenhoek: 24/7 - #24, On3 - #45

Chambliss: 24/7 - #843; On3 - #476

Patrick Payton: 24/7 - #7, On3 - #18

Nic Andersom: 24/7 - #9; On3 - #15

Based on those players, it is appears on3 was more accurate relatively than was 24/7. I am sure there are some that 24/7 was better at, but none jumped off the screen at me. There were several that were within 3 spots of each other that had good years - Eric Singleton, Duce Robinson. But at least based on stats at skill position spots On3 looked to be more accurate at evaluating transfer players based on this small sample.

Eh. Football is a team sport. You could have the best player with a crap team around him and he's going to have crap numbers.

Why don’t they do it by position? Otherwise I feel it’s a bit deceiving for someone like me that is not that familiar with how that works.

Duce Robinson of 5-7 Florida State had 1,081 receiving yards.

Jadan Baugh of 4-8 Florida had 1.170 rushing yards.

Mike Washington, Jr. of 2-8 Arkansas has 1,070 rushing yards.

Brenen Thompson of 5-8 MSU led the SEC in receiving with 1,054 yards.

Danny Scudero of 3-9 San Jose State led the nation in receiving with 1.291 yards.

There are so, so, so many examples of players having great seasons even if they are on a bad team.

Neither is great.

DJ chester is i think a top 35 OT and you could put a blocking dummy out there and get th same results as Chester

I pray everyday for Alabama to have to play DJ Chester

As a transfer. 24/7 has Chester ranked as the 440th best player in the portal and 29th best OT. On3 has him ranked as the 937th best player in the portal and 76th IOL.

Neither is high on him; On3 is especially harsh.

Lol. I hear you but my point is it's easier for a WR Or Rb to have a good season on a bad team than a qb.
