Honestly best move for the kid. Dad played there, closer to home, and a better chance to shine in the Big 12.

Yep I think getting out of the SEC was the best move for him. Curious what Baylor does with him. In the right system he could be alright I guess but I know there isn't a great track record of 2nd year starting QBs who struggle reading the field becoming top QBs.
I think Sumrall handled this situation the best he could by allowing him to willingly leave before making it clear there would be a real big paycut and competition for the starting job brought in.
