If tRant existed back then:
"If he could go .500 at Vanderbilt, just imagine what he can do at LSU."

Man doesn’t get enough credit for what he accomplished at LSU. IMO, without DeNardo, we don’t get the GOAT.

He brought the magic back, if only for a short time until Watts and Reese left him. Kevin Faulk was fun to watch.

4:50 am on New Year's Day and LSU is on your mind

LSU didn't have the administrative support then that it does now. LSU wasn't getting the top coaches or players at that time. It's a completely different situation. Does that mean the same outcome can't happen? Unfortunately, it does not.

quote:The fanbase wasn't as spoiled back then and it is now and it was a very different program. But his time at LSU was the highlight of his career. He actually was sub 500 at Vandy and after at Indiana but had a winning record at LSU and went 3-0 at Bowls sharing SEC West titles.

Fun fact
Dinardos lsu teams were not once but twice co western champs. 1996 and 1997. Ole miss only accomplished that feat once ever
Of course we dont hang banners for that like some loser programs
