If you look, it isn’t that elite. They shutdown Manning (ok), almost lost to GT (oh shite) and the Bama game (actually legit).
OM scored 35 (Dad’s first game)
Fla scored 20
Mississippi State scored 21
Texas scored 10
GT scored 9…………
Bama scored 7

Georgia didn't punt in that first game and you're talking about our defense?

Their last 3 games...they allowed 10, 9 and 7 against 3 ranked teams....I'd say that defense has rounded into form.

Don't forget the 4th quarter against OM.

Do you think you will be concerned at all at any point in the game Dawgs?

That’s a perfect game. You can do it again?

Gunner also had a perfect game. Can he do it again?

Ole Miss allowed more points to Tulane than Georgia did to GT and Alabama in their last 2 games....and tied it with Texas at 10 points.

Maybe, but I could say the same for your so called defensive improvement stopping the run. You played much weaker rushing teams later. And what happened in the Egg Bowl. They ran like crazy on you.

We kicked FGs, so not perfect. You gonna score a TD on your five opening drives?

I'm concerned right now. So, yes

Georgia fans are concerned when we have a 28 point lead. So, yes.

Ole Miss will crash and burn against Georgia without Lane. This one won’t be close folks. OM fans will be puking on bourbon street during the 3rd quarter.

Shouldn’t you be concerned about finding a WR Coach?

I think what we are excited about is us getting pressure on the QB. Earlier in the season we did little blitzing and put very little pressure on QBs.
Around the Texas game, I think we started stunting our LBs more, and bringing more pressure off the edges. We got a lot more pressure on QBs we faced.
Ole Miss, with Chambliss presents us with a different animal. A more mobile QB. You have to be very careful on defense to stay in your lanes when rushing a mobile QB. Keep him in the pocket while collapsing the pocket around him.
It will be interesting to see how we do against him. I'm looking for an exciting game that could go either way, depending on how the breaks go.

Well, you just cleared it up for me! UGA has no chance!

Anyone who thinks Ole Miss rolls over and plays dead is an idiot. It wouldn’t be shocking if UGA loses or wins a close one. It wouldn’t be surprising if UGA wins by 2 scores. It’d be shocking if Ole Miss did. That’s the difference. Ole Miss must be perfect to stay close. That’s possible. UGA can make a few mistakes and keep it close. That’s not insignificant.
UGA has an advantage on defense and is infinitely better on special teams. Watch UGA on PAT defense. There is a reason good kickers miss FGs against UGA and punters have days that aren’t quite up to par for them….they have seen the pressure UGA gets on special teams and it throws them off sync. You don’t have to block kicks but if you can make a 48 yard punt a 35 yard punt that’s a free first down. It happens in every game UGA plays and there’s not a lot you can do but rush the process and hope for the best.
The more important item is its Kirby Smart season. UGA tends to play to perfection in the post season. UGA lost this game last year in a lackluster showing that anyone being objective recognizes. That is unlikely to occur again….the most shocking thing possible is UGA show up unprepared and flat. It could happen…. It’s highly unlikely
