Agreed, O Line was the worst position group and was supposed to be a strength this year. Turned out to be the worst.
I hope Sumrall acknowledges that the SEC is won in the trenches and not on whatever "Gator Standard" Napier was instilling.
I am optimistic that Phil Trautwein would be able to develop the o line, since the lines at Penn St have been very very good the past few years under his leadership. This was the most important position coach for me and I think Sumrall nailed the hire.

We need to pay for some proven experienced help in the trenches. I can see not getting too crazy with high school recruits unless you are convinced they are a can't miss player. The QB has a lot to do with how O lines look also in the passing game. Some QBs are just naturals at stepping up at the right time or knowing when to roll out. I was shocked how bad Barber looked at times this year when facing top NFL prospects.

It took so many decades for the NFL to realize the importance of OL. People want to watch their multimillion dollar athletes go score points. They don’t know how to mentally model a reward mechanism for watching open running lanes and clean pockets.
Half of people are always going to be dumber than average. That’s been Florida’s lot for a while. It’s a tough job, but someone has to do it.

I care about draft picks more than that with offensive lineman....if we have quite a few means we are doing a good job.

When we have a good Oline and Dline..we win titles. They are insanely important to get.

Charlie spent all the money on the baseball stadium and the upcoming Swamp desecration.
This is supposedly our "top dog".
Who are we spending NIL on? We reportedly won't match Texas for Baugh and the QB we wasted money on just transfered...
We blowing all the NIL on the Iowa State QB?

Not sure about him, don't know much about him.

Word is we are going after the Iowa State QB rather than the GT one?

1. Games are won in the trenches.
2. How dumb is it for him to say publicly that you can’t afford them? That’s not going to help your situation

Also rumored that he’s only “giving” to nil because his construction company is getting big contracts on the bullshite stadium renovation
TLDR Florida football is fricked for the forseeable future and sumrall might be a good coach but will fail because he’s being sabotaged

We need to hire Steve Addaz back and give him a ton of money

Um...we had a very good offensive line with him at offensive line coach...won us multiple titles..plenty of draft picks and recruited and developed very well. What am I missing?

I just remember dive play after dive play in 09 and our offensive production in SEC games went down a lot. The stats for the year in 09 are misleading because we really ran the numbers up on our non-SEC opponents that year.
