I’m surprised at the buckeyes. They have had a ton of transfers. Last handful of years they QB is a transfer and they poach a ton of kids from Bama.

Amazing that Kirby has been able to retain that much of his roster in this day and age. It’s definitely a plus to have players come up in a system rather than rent a player for a year or two

The 2021 team was about the same in terms of transfer starters.

Stetson on offense and Kendrick on defense.

Texas had a ton of dead money tied up in young players that didn’t get on the field. The retention money is a bitch too. All that and we missed the playoffs. I think Texas will adjust their high school vs portal percentages moving forward.

I am as well. 2 of their 3 best players are transfers so I wouldn't think most of it was homegrown

Not really shocking
Kirby had things stabilized and ticking going into the portal/nil era. Georgia had been recruiting better than everyone.
