I don’t know what happened with Skip. He was a great ambassador for the Stallions.
I’ll cheer for AJ to do well. I hope he’s a better coach than he is at making political ads because that thing was like watching a parody

I feel like several public figures have taken a gander at what you'd have to do to win an election in the US these days and decided it ain't worth it. You know you're permanently making your reputation toxic to half the country by saying things that whips the rubes of your party's base into line behind your name on the ballot sheet.

I suspect the powers that be explained to them that if they wanted to work in the state moving forward they could gently drop out or be run over by the machine that runs politics in the state of Alabama.
Watching trucks go out in college with democratic yard signs for some races and republican signs for others was enough to make me realize that the whole thing was just Tammany Hall in the south.

I know a guy who was trying to make some changes in Alabama state politics. He got death threats on him and his family from the masonic crew. He quickly dropped out of politics and faded into normal life.
As for why Holtz stepped down....AJ sort of indicated that it was because Bham was fixing to lose their team if they didn't start attracting more people to the games. So AJ was brought in to attract more known coaches and players to bring in more fans to the games. AJ stated he already has some coaches and is building a team. Holtz was doing a fine job but I guess bringing in McCarron is their last straw. Holtz said he would be coaching again soon.
Wouldn't surprise me to see Milroe wind up at a UFL team at some point.
