I was an an event and was watching parts of the game without sound. What was the reasoning for Bama going for it on 4th down so early in the fourth and so deep in their own territory?

Idk if you saw the whole game but they were being dominated and were what the Yns would call “down bad”

Levy broke, that was their last gasp. Honestly believed Bama thought the officials would bail them out....

I think it was a terrible call. Our offense wasn’t setting the world on fire and there was like 8 min left I believe

You miss that and are guaranteed to go down 3 scores which is pretty much ball game.

Kick it and hope to get a stop with your defense.

That blown 4th down play shattered their souls.

IIRC, they were only down 14 with over minutes to play. I thought I had missed something when they lined up to go for it.

After the score, I was halfway expecting an onside kick. LOL

I just said it in another thread, but the balance of the game felt like 65-7 more than it did 28-7.

That said, I was not comfortable with even the 14 point lead at the half. No lead is big enough against them.

When they blew on the 4th down call I started to do the math and realize they couldn’t close a 3 score deficit unless they hit some long passes.

I was scared at the end about them sailing to Williams every play as that was really their only chance.

How many times have we seen Kirby let a team methodically drive the field and score but eat too much clock to realistically get back in the game?

Kateland the KD, tought the Zebras would bail them out on 4th and 2. They just bailed them out to the tune of 3 15 yard penalties a drive before.

That Kentucky game about 3 years ago. Used up about 12 minutes.

There was about 8:30 minutes left in the game. Georgia was moving the ball well and DeBoer probably thought they needed to score on that drive to get closer because another Georgia score or even a FG would make it near impossible for Bama to catch us.
