Is this a serious brag? Looked up the stats for this guy’s coaching. Am I missing something? The defenses he has coached for have been mediocre (Texas A&M) to awful (Syracuse).
Is he mainly hired for his recruiting?

No. I'd say the offense. If it wasn't for play reviews in 3/4 straight plays Bama probably doesn't sneak past LSU that game.
