Curious to see this. N TX does have a pretty explosive offense for a G5 team.

A CFP berth will boost recruiting for Sumrall.

Looks like Jon will be coaching two teams for a while longer.

Didn't he transfer from BYU this last year because he was getting kicked off their team? IIRC

Yes. He was accused of sexual misconduct and left BYU. Those charges were dropped with prejudice.

Who will Tulane play in the playoffs? I am guessing the #5 or # 6 seed depending on if Duke wins and James Madison made the playoff. So Oregon or Ole Miss maybe. Committee may even alter seeds to prevent an Ole Miss rematch?

Will be interesting to see. Of course you can’t penalize Oregon with a higher seed just to split an Ole Miss-Tulane pairing.

Personally, I would like the optics of a Sumrall-led Tulane going into a coach-less Ole Miss and stealing a win while putting a little more egg on the whole Lane-LSU-OM debacle.

Maybe they would leave that matchup if Duke wins since it's 12 teams now instead of 4. It would also have Tulane in their area.

The Gator Twitter Army needs to make this happen.

If the rules weren't changed from last season Tulane would get the #4 seed and a bye week in the playoff from being the 4th ranked conference champion.

Someone was talking about how a Tulane win would here them in the Sugar Bowl for the first time since like the 50s.
