If Lame gets fired at any point he will get 80% remaining of his $91M contract with no mitigation. He could literally coach less than 12 months and make over $70M guaranteed.

He could start interviewing for other jobs before the season starts completely check out all next season and get another job in 12 months and end up making $26M+ per year.

You think if he takes another job LSU still has to pay him?

They do not know how that actually works. Their coach just leaves.

He is going to flirt with other schools if he has a good season.

What does that have to do with what I asked?

This guy has had some epic melts lately. It doesn’t appear he’s very bright.

There is no mitigation language in the contract. So yeah. Assuming he’s fired.

That doesn’t mean LSU still has to pay him if he resigns and takes another job

Or are you idiots trying to claim he’s going to purposely get himself fired?

How dumb are you people?

There's a thread on the Ole Miss board asking why LSU fans think they're melting.

Then they cope a lot and comfort each other. It's great fun.

I didn’t read OP. I thought he knew the buyout only applied if he was fired. My mistake.

ETA: Well no, actually, the first part is correct, dunno where the second part is going, but the whole OP says he gets fired. If he gets fired, they owe Lane the 80% payout, no mitigation.

It’s the ramblings of a fricking retard. The only way Kiffin gets fired next year is if it’s for cause.

Again, how dumb are you people?

So, you are telling me a college football coach with a guaranteed contract is something new?
