I admit, I was wrong

Today was shrimp day at the gas station in town. And as always the usual crew was at the table for lunch. And of course, the Florida coaching hire was the topic of discussion.

Now for weeks, no months, I have been advocating for the hiring of Lane Kiffin as head coach of the Gators football team.

I watched Ole Miss show out for years while CBN was destroying the program.

I watched the ESPN documentary.

I drank the Kool Ade.

But for the first time today, I looked someone dead in the eyes and admitted I was wrong.

Am I saying that Lane is a bad coach? Not at all. I wasn't phased by the Ole Miss fans booing and jeering, that is to be expected. No offense to the Rebels, but it's not a top tier job. It was bad the way it happened, but with the college schedule it had to be that way.

And it wasn't all the DM sliding by Lane that got me. Who can really say if that was him? People fake social media stuff all the time. Of course we all know Joey Freshwater is always gonna be around.

No, if was the GODDAMN DOG.

The Juice Kiffin storyline was a fricking lie. Who in the blue frick actually does that? What kind of person lies about having a dog for public image?

And that was it. Lane never owned a dog. He just used that image to rehab himself. Now everything he says I question.

Florida dodged a fricking nightmare.

Am I saying that Sumrall is the second coming of Bob Stoops? No. Am I saying that Starkville Scott redeemed himself? Also no.

But its better than worrying what horseshite is going to fly out of a cash cow coach.
