If there was a championship for failing forward, he would be the GOAT.

He just won a Melty for what he caused at OM. That’s basically a championship.

With how many times this exact thread has been done, I know LSU made a good hire.

Not many coaches could take a moribund program and win 10+ games for 3-4 seasons. Kiffin is a very good head coach. Time will tell if he can win a title at LSU.

For others, Ole Miss beating them is huuuuuuge.....

Different statuses.

But again, we made this same thread about Brian Kelly. Was that a good hire?

He's a good coach. I don't think anyone is saying he isn't. Is he a great one? He's paid as if he is.

As mentioned before. How often does a coach that has won a championship ever been hired by another school? Do these championship coaches switch jobs yearly? LSU has never hired a coach with a championship at least in my lifetime. How many championships had Smart won? Deboer? Day? Lanning?

this is a really dumb talking point

he was part of a bunch of championship teams as an assistant

was under sanctions at USC

won CUSA twice in three years

won more at Ole Miss than anyone has in 60 years

the fear and cope from Georgia fans specifically has been really interesting in all this
