Lane Kiffin is not the old Kiffin - active LSU head coach and he's still helping Ole Miss

Don't be fooled by the media's mantra right now that he is quitting on his team. He's the active LSU head coach and he's contacting the playoff committee so they are aware that he's loaning coaches to them for the playoffs so they're not hurt too much. He wants Ole Miss to win the whole damn thing.
After the way fans treated him when he left, he's still being the better person and is being such a great big brother.

Statement from LSU coach Lane Kiffin on Charlie Weis coaching Ole Miss during the playoffs….
“With the playoff committee releasing updated rankings tonight, I wanted it to be known that after conversations with LSU, we are allowing Charlie to return to Ole Miss to coach the team during the playoffs. I've already made the committee aware of this and I’m hopeful this decision will allow Ole Miss to receive the highest ranking possible because these great players are very deserving of that. I’m excited that Charlie will be back to help coach the greatest team in the history of Ole Miss.”

Again, it didn’t have to be this way. But Ole Miss acted with foolish pride and emotion. They’re lucky they may still have a chance at the playoff even after self owning.

I'm sure CWJr loves it that Daddy Lane is "allowing him" to go back to Ole Miss, implying he has no control over his decisions.
Lane is basically Xerxes from the 300

No just a normal Boss and subordinate working relationship. You all are making this weird.

There’s no way you take this at face value. Absolutely no way.

Technically Lane isn’t his boss because Weis isn’t employed by LSU (yet).
Lane put this out because he wants to make it all about him, jab at the Ole Miss program, and communicate his control over the situation.
