Someone who has watched UK football over the years he did an admirable job. ‘14 and ‘15 were awful 2nd half season collapses especially those two Florida games. However, he did end the Florida streak, beat UT a couple times, two 10 win seasons, bowl wins and put alot of players in the NFL. Not to mention he handed a couple arse kickings to Loserville.

It was fun watching UK at times. I hope he lands on his feet somewhere. L’s down

I will always be grateful for what he did. No question about that. He showed Kentucky can compete in the sec year in and year out.

He has elevated expectations for UK for. all time. Rich Brooks showed us we could ve bowl eligible and competent. Stoops has shown us we can win 8-10 games a year. Ultimately Stoops was a victim of his own success, unable to maintain a standard he himself set. I really like him, kinda sad to see the era end, but it was absolutely beyond time for this to happen.

He broke streaks, elevated the program, and brought a lot of joy when it was good. Grateful for that.

It was time but I’m appreciative that he had the good sense to re-negotiate the buyout and move on.

I'm ready for the Will Stein era. Hope it's announced today.

Yeah, he definitely raised the profile of UK football. I truly think he wanted to turn it back around, but the game passed him by: his usual tactics don’t get it done anymore.
I’ll always look fondly upon the Stoops era when his teams reflected his blue collar work ethic and hard nosed grit.
But it was time to go.

Cheers (raising bourbon glass) and best of luck going forward Coach Stoops!

Two favorite moments for me was when the QB’s went down and Lynn Bowden went full on beast mode as QB/RB/WR.

Second was Will Levis laying the wood to Loserville in ‘21 at the pizza palace. That was a great arse kicking.

Pretty sure he just ran another one in.

I asked the same thing in the coaching changes board. Why?

They are all in on basketball; why?

He’s fat and win more games than he lost. Why did Kentucky force this?
