I was anti Kiffin during the hiring cycle when we hired Pitt. Mainly because I felt Kiffin would open his skirt to any bigger better deal that came along, while Pitt was at least loyal and wanted to be the head hog.

So fast forward to today, after however many years of suckage with one 9 win season and a couple field rushings mixed in, we're hiring a mid tier AAC coach, who's fan base is happy to see go, while Lane is leaving Ole Miss high and dry, right in the midst of the best season in school history, to go to conference rival and notorious shithole LSU.

I was wrong. We shoulda got Kiff. Sure he'd leave us to crash and burn at the worst time, but I'd take that over being a bottom dweller looking at getting booted out of the conference.

Moral of the story - frick that integrity shite.

see, there is the problem. Neither one had true integrity. Hell, BP had more integrity towards the end that these two.

Just consider the pittman raises, his firing of his agent for Sexton, his petty twitter shut downs...

At least BP said, "Yep, i want the job, i want to do better for the UofA. I want to make up for my screw ups"

but now we have Ryan Silverfield, who inherited the reigns from another system HC who is sucking overall, who inherited from another HC who is sucking overall...

Real question is why do mediocre coaches typically kill it at Memphis?

They have lower tier P4 resources and play in a G5 conference

Large NIL budget, larger group of talent in the surrounding area compared to the rest of their conference.

One more... RELAXED acceptance standards for players. Great players with subpar grades etc...

Wierd this would be a reason considering our talent pool is supposedly just the shits compared to the rest of our conference and Silverfield has been the only coach at Memphis since NIL started.

I personally don’t think Kiffin will do any better at LSU or have it easier. Everyone keeps saying build a team from the bottom up with the recruits. He could do that at Ole Miss. he didn’t want to.

But here is who I wanted:

Kiffin - 2020
Elko/Mullen - 2021/2022 (after Pittman said I’m not leaving then asked for a raise then goes 7-5) Elko gets hired in 24 by A&M.

Called all sorts of names because Mullen isn’t a winner every time I bring it up.
