What did OM fans (and everyone else I guess) want Kiffin to do?

It was clear he wanted to take the LSU job. It was clear he wanted to coach OM in the playoffs and was petitioning hard to be able to do that. Everything else is just internet rumors at this point.

To swallow a dick. He ain’t our problem anymore. See if we can’t get past first round of playoffs, but it’s just nice to be here (OM obviously never having made it). Time for an ice cold beer.

Not nuke us by threatening our offensive staff on his way out, which would greatly affect the seeding for these players who he claims to care about.

He can wait until the end of the playoff to hire those staff members.

To decide whether to shite or got off the pot. Can't do that with conference rivals.

He should have told LSU that neither he nor his agent would communicate with them in any way until his season was over. If that meant he missed out on the LSU job, our obligations to other people sometimes are difficult, but so be it.

Love that they doubled the offensive staff salaries thru postseason.

This is the internet rumors I’m talking about. Are there any credible reports that he made those threats?

Or your dumbass AD could have just done like numerous other schools and just let him coach the playoffs

This guy gets it. Pretty much everyone seems to except LSU fans and Saban/Booger who have obvious bias due to their backgrounds at LSU.

Coach the team through the playoffs with guardrails in place and then go to LSU if he was going to leave.

OM cut their nose to spite their face. Ruined a dream season for them when they should have rallied One Last Dance style.

Players literally said the staff wanted to stay. Fail.

That’s simply not feasible with the way the NCAA currently has portal and signing day deadlines. It’s not his fault, LSU’s or OM’s. It’s just shitty management by the NCAA.

What happened to OM is completely unfair, but there wasn’t anything anybody could do about it.

If your best example of this happening is a G5 school losing their coach to an SEC school, you need to reevaluate your logic.

Maybe there needs to be a rule that a coach who's team is still playing can't be contacted before their final game is over.
