Yup. I don't think we pull it out honestly. We are trending in opposite directions. Georgia seems to be getting better and we are at least regressing on offense. Injuries are killing us.

Take UGA and lay the 1.5. Or take UGA money line just in case. You’ll be happy one way or another

Their offensive line is very banged up right now.

Believe it or not, we match up better with Georgia than we do with about anyone else.

Exactly. The match up tonight against Auburn was much tougher. One could argue that the boogs should've beaten UGA earlier this season and that was with Jackson Arnold under center.

What? The AU team that showed up tonight was the one that lost to KY. They were absolutely horrid…dropped balls all over the place, gave us an interception on a wide open dropped pass, fumbled about 4 times and eventually lost one, ran QB designed run about 100 times, extremely inaccurate passes to wide open guys, etc.. AU was absolutely atrocious…and we almost lost to them.

So did Georgia and if not for the ref’s, they would have lost to them.

That’s true, although I think AU had a bye right before UGA and UGA didn’t. Same that OU had on us.

It also was before AU fired their staff and had somewhat quit on the season. They literally benched their starting QB last week to preserve his redshirt. Not sure it would have made a difference in this one but I’m sure he could have used the live reps in practice and the game leading up to last week’s Mercer game. They played a much higher caliber of football in the UGA 1st half than they did against us.

They struggled from start to finish with GTech and also with Auburn earlier in the season.

I heard the same "they'll probably beat our arse" before we played them earlier this year. And last year. And the last time in the SEC championship game.

Not sure how many times 'Bama has to beat a Kirby Smart coached Georgia team (and we already beat them once this season) before some of you allow yourselves a little optimism going into these games.

That’s how most people here felt against Auburn too. We really need a few weeks to get people healthy and get things resettled.

Auburn had 3 weeks to prepare for us.

I think we match up real well with UGA. Especially now that our run defense is improved

Sure, the Barn had more than their share of opportunities to beat Bama last night... but they were desperate all evening long. Two touchdowns... and if everyone here talks about Ty being abused, their QB was running for his life - every damned play.

Thanks to penalties and the miracle of 4th downs, it kept Auburn in that game.

I know it’s hard to beat a good team twice, but their coach is 1-7 against Bama. What would be surprising about 1-8?

Yall giving UGA way too much credit. They looked good against Texas, and really other than that had a very mediocre schedule compared to Bama’s. Beat Tech by 7. Beat Florida by 4. This has been a really good job of coaching by Kirby, but this UGA team ain’t what they used to be. I think we’re better on both sides of the ball right now despite our inconsistencies on offense lately
