Urban Meyer? Or were the best teams considered to be with Spurrier? Y’all were always in the mix with Spurrier and he had more years in Gainesville but got one title and could have had a few more.

We had pretty good teams under both, also when Charley Pell was the coach we had a couple of good teams.

Best teams will be the 2026-2032 era with Lane Kiffin

Great teams but usually on probation

Pell had good teams and so did Galen Hall

84 Gators were a machine. Too bad they were on probation.

My favorite UF season was 1996, the year Spurrier called out his own offensive line for almost getting Wuerffel killed in that loss vs. FSU.
Then the Gators destroyed FSU in the BCS Championship game.
The ole ball Coach had them fired up for that one.

Football in Florida wasn’t invented until 1990 so probably so

Alabama fans will always consider Spurrier the better coach and nemesis, regardless of Meyers 2 nattys.
Spurrier was the gatekeeper for at least one more Bama natty and what, 3 Sec titles?
Hats off to the Ol Ball coach, frick those 90s teams.
Bama was down during Meyer and still gave him the greatest arse whooping he’s ever had

The top team was 2008 Florida no doubt. ...insane talent on that team and one of the best coaching staffs of all time. We were much more consistently very good under Spurrier though no doubt.

Yeah, they had that ‘killer’ instinct for real, didn’t they?
