If that's the case, then who exactly is Texas? — Miami

Here's the hierarchy within each conference:

Alabama = Clemson
Arkansas = Boston College
Auburn = Georgia Tech
Florida = North Carolina
Georgia = Notre Dame
Kentucky = Syracuse
LSU = Florida State
Mississippi State = Wake Forest
Missouri = Louisville
Oklahoma = Pittsburgh
Ole Miss = Duke
South Carolina = Virginia
Tennessee = Virginia Tech
Vanderbilt = NC State

And Stanford is still waiting in the wings.

As they are or as they were? Clemson hasn’t been even good in years.

Ignoring the rest of the comparisons, I've always considered us and NC State the closest parallels

Considering that they actually received a "death penalty" for their program, any success is considered a success.

My post is completely on point. The SEC fails to see the bigger picture and will not win a championship again this year. Want me to break down the Big Ten vs. SEC hierarchy?

That’s fair.. It’s like comparing alternate realities with Steve Tanneyhill and Phillip Rivers—I respect both QBs. The discussion really boils down to their potential versus consistency. Vandy is more NC State .. while South Carolina aligns more closely with a “take it as it comes” Virginia vibe.
