He will make some mistakes, but he should have a dozen or so plays scripted to ease him in. If he handles that, should be some fun.

They have one heck of a passing game, our DB better play a little better than the last outing.

But their line is suspect and I wonder how the QB performs against a blitzing Durkin defense.

Fun time......I have plenty of beer just in case, heck what am I saying Ill drink them either way

I'm convinced that generating fan excitement was one reason he got the call.

Was kind of a rough introduction wasnt it. But remember Bryce Young lost a fumble on his first drive for Alabama, that didnt turn out too bad

Course my boss says it must be depressing being the eternal optimist and constantly being disappointed. But once in a while on a crisp fall afternoon, ya get to say ahhhh thats more like it!

Bryce's receivers at Bama were 7 yards open all they time. Ours don't seem to get that open... ever...

Not true. They just don’t have a QB to deliver the ball.

Who wants to try and predict how many Total yards he has today (Passing and Rushing).

I say 273 (alot of scrambling) and 2tds; 1 TO

Clearly we're dealing with a different style of player, but Deuce's debut feels on par with how Cam started his campaign * vs Ark State. He just looks different on the field. It's obvious.

Not saying Deuce is Cam level, but is it too far to say there's also a Nick Marshall vibe?

6 TDs, 15 - 20, 0 TOs... not a bad opening act.

*Cam had a 71 yard TD run, late in the 2nd quarter vs Ark State. Auburn was up 12, and right before half, Cam's impressive dash down the sideline was only a taste of what was to come later.

Cam and Marshall had validation games before their potentials were even thought about. Marshall threw for 300 over Miss State before we tried to run him a ton.

Deuce still has to have his validation game or else. He needs to test the eyeball test against stiffer competition.

Yeah, but Ark State (4-8) and Mercer (9-2) are about as comparable as you can get with a side by side with Cam & Deuce.

Not clearing a pedestal for him just yet, but if he ends up being Jeremy Johnson 2.0, I'll be shocked.

and he drove us 80 yards thru the air in the final minutes with the game on the line

dont know if Deuce could do that, don't even know if Ashton could

but at least there’s a faint possibility glimmering
