From the “minister of culture”:

“This crowd was loud from the beginning,” McConaughey said, according to Dawg Nation. “Especially that first half and then the second half when they started to boat row (us). They were still really loud, but they were one of the higher decibels that I’ve heard.”

“You can have 30,000 more people but if the rituals and the cheers aren’t in unison, it doesn’t… It’s not as intimidating.” McConaughey continued. “And yeah, they were happy I was there, but they were also giving me straight horns down and going we’re gonna whip your you know tonight, you know, so it was a good.”

A Georgia crowd is a frontrunner crowd. When we get a lead, Sanford is as loud and nutty as any stadium in the country. The crowd for the Texas game was elite because we jumped out to an early lead. Same thing with Tennessee when they were ranked number 1 for 3 days.

When we're down a little bit or the game is tied, the crowd gets tense and anxious and the crowd doesn't work as good . Alabama took the crowd out of the game. The crowd for the Ole Miss game wasn't a factor until we finally took the lead in the fourth quarter. After that it was batshit crazy.

Almost makes you wanna stub your toe once more and get a chance to host there, doesn’t it?

Absolutely false. You weren't at that game if that's your takeaway. It was loud the entire time. Even the boomers in my section were yelling. You're lying and your posts are some of the worst on this board.

Loud is all relative. Ty Simpson was checking with his linemen. That was not a vintage Sanford Stadium crowd.

The double bye would be great for several reasons. Other fanbases would have a shite fit and come up with conspiracy theories about Georgia getting preferential treatment from the refs, the CFP committe and whoever else.

On the other hand a rematch with Bama and ending Bama's season would be some of the most satisying shite ever.

In other words, if if's not Bama, then double bye.

I've been to over a hundred Georgia games, you little shite. I also know what it's supposed to look like and sound like on TV. I promise that I'm not just making this stuff up as I go along. It wasn't an elite crowd. Being able to check with your linemen in the shotgun was a dead giveaway. One false start was a dead giveaway. Texas was an elite crowd Tennessee 2022 was an elite crowd. Tennessee had 7 false starts all season and they had 5 in the first half...

Brother I was there. You're a fricking retard if you think it wasn't loud. We were yelling every fricking down. The entire game. It was every bit as loud as any big game in that stadium. This revisionist history is weird.

A lot of people resent McConaughey, but I like him. He's an excellent actor, and a good representative for Texas. A really good, and loyal fan.

I was one of the boomers at the Bama game. 6 of my old classmates were also there and we were as loud as we could get for our age. (I am 79)
I was also there for the Texas and Ole Miss games.

It is interesting to hear this...

OU fans have been told that the Tennessee and Alabama crowds for their recent games were two of the better ones.

It would appear that both of the newbie teams are doing a good job of firing up SEC home crowds.

So with all the bitching that goes on about OU and Texas being in the conference... at least they seem to be moving the needle a bit with thr opposing SEC fans.
