Volleyball notches it's 5th win, and first consecutive conference wins since 2020.

The Tide will finish 12th, it's highest since 2020, which featured an entirely SEC schedule due to the pandemic, otherwise it would be 11th in 2019, the first year of steep decline since 7th place (2018), and the end of the Ed Allen era with 5th place finishes in 2016 and 2015.
Alabama has also garnered 5 wins for the first time since 2020 (again all conference schedule, before that would be 2018's 7-win season).
The Tide will be in great position to continue to add a win as the SEC Tournament has paired them with one of teams they handled pretty easily on the road, South Carolina.
2023 (1-17)
2024 (3-13)
2025 (5-10)
Coach Reed at the Tide improve for a third straight year. A solid mark for a team that was picked to finish dead last a third time in the pre-season. Mostly due to graduating large class last year, losing the starting setter, both middles, libero, and their most experienced pin hitter. Hell, at the current improvement rate of 2 wins a year, Bama will be undefeated SEC Volleyball Champions in 2030.

You are a devoted fan to not only be following volleyball, but to be doing that despite the team evidently going 9-40 over the last three years.

Glad there was some semblance of improvement because it’s been rough.

I began paying attention... like a typical Bama fan.... when they really seemed to be hitting the next level in the mid 2010s.
We had just hired Ed Allen from Tulsa, who had been winning in C-USA and D2 like crazy. He immediately put together some of our best teams in history, and got us to tournament quality and in 2014 we even advance a round. For whatever reason, it plateaued and in 2018, he resigned. It was weird, like we weren't even bad, he just left for Southern Illinois.
The next hire is probably still Byrne's biggest disaster, Lindsey Devine. It wasn't the terrible results so much as the complete destruction of any foundation. Over 20 athletes transferred away over her tenure. It never clicked so she eventually returned to ETSU.
Coach Reed has been tasked with the rebuild, the journey from rock bottom has included her shaking up her entire staff last year. The brightest spot is probably signing our first Ranked recruiting class in like a decade.

Better yes but still think we need an overhaul. She is not a very good motivator and recruiting could be better.
One thing that has to happen first is to get them out of playing in that basement called Foster. It's way too small, dark and outdated. Aside from basketball needing a new facility, volleyball does too. They could both play in a new arena. That would help recruiting as well. Not an Auburn fan, but have taken my team to watch them play Florida, Texas twice and Texas A&M there and it is a really good experience and good facility.
It comes down to whether the school wants volleyball to be a factor or not.

Interestingly, Curry and Women's Basketball left Foster Auditorium because recruiting toe-to-toe with the big dogs was next to impossible for WBB..... But it's not really that big a deal in Volleyball. Numerous elite and power programs compete in smaller arenas than Basketball. Kentucky plays in Memorial, Penn State plays in Red Hall, Texas plays in Gregory Gymnasium, Wisconsin in the Field House, etc
Ideally we would expand Foster... but obviously, it's a Historical Landmark so there's only so much we can do. Their most realistic avenue right now sadly seems to be.... just trudge towards relevance until, like Softball, you garner enough wealthy fans and boosters to buy fancy things.
