Chocolate gravy. Don't think I've had it.

Sounds delicious.

Homemade cheese grits here, cooked in chicken broth and cream with Tuscan seasoning.

It is a Southern thing.

Mizzou would not understand.

It’s basically just regular gravy but with cocoa powder added in the mix.

IMO, it’s not as good as regular gravy, but it’s not bad.

My favorite is biscuits and gravy. I don’t really do the chocolate gravy. Give me the white gravy full of sausage and beef over biscuits. That’s my favorite breakfast

Some leftover quail and a boudin link.

I miss when I used to get fired up for the Arkansas game. Wed have a whole hog going and the whiskey would be flowing.

Give me that back on Black Friday.

Good Lord.

There are two versions. One is a slightly-sweet "sauce." and has a dessert-like flavor. The other uses unsweetend chocolate, much like you can use unsweetened chocolate to add an interesting flavor to many dishes. I sometimes use it in chili, just to change things up a bit. Example

As to "chocolate gravy," I prefer the latter to the former, but both can be good.

We're playing football today so I'm starting with a healthy meal of rum and cokes. Around lunch I'll switch to bourbon.
