1. LSU gets slaughtered by A&M
2. Hot Blooded Cajuns jump the gun and decide to fire Kelly while tempers are high and lock him out of the facility.
3. Landry realizes they can't pay this money and makes his taxpayer statement.
4. They then realize they were supposed to give him 7 days notice if firing for cause.
5. They offer him 25 mil or so as a lump sum.
6. He says frick that and threatens to sue, wants more for sure.
7. Now they say they didn't fire him so they can give him the 7 day notice for cause.

Didn’t Kelly give out of his own money for the NIL to contribute to LSU? Since he was still employed at the time wouldn’t that make it like the school was paying the players and that may be a no no? I actually don’t know but just want to add to the drama.

7 invalidates 2

We didn't fire him. We just moved his office down to the basement and took his stapler.

ETA: It was a fire hazard.

Pure theater.

We might get a 30 for 30 on this one.

We just locked him out of the facility. He took that to mean he was fired. His mistake. He had been “working” remotely up to that point anyway.

The way that was structured it was allowed by the NCAA. It was a donation match where for every dollar contributed to the NIL collective (Bayou Traditions), he would donate to the Tiger Athletic Foundation.

Left out a couple:
Woodward confirms the next day he fired BK.
LSU fires Woodward

Here is what gets interesting.
BK is owed $54 million
Woodward is owed $5 million
LSU owes about $5 million to assistant coaches that were fired.
LSU owes Coach O and his ex wife about $12 million
LSU owes $1.9 million for the title IX lawsuit
And we haven’t gotten around to what a possible Kelly lawsuit and associated legal fees im addition to what any coach and agent are going to demand up front to go coach there will cost, because you refuse to abide by your agreements. So you’re looking at a possible $100,000,000 hit the last five years and coming months, due to mainly to your football program. Starting to get into some real money. Those numbers will scare the hell outta the big schools, should absolutely terrify the poorest school in the SEC.

Y’all better settle and quick.

This is what happens when you steal from a Catholic children’s hospital.

And they think they can get Lane or the equivalent. They'll be lucky to get a decent coach from a G5 school.
