For all the crap Aggies have given Manning for sucking, it's interesting to see how similiar our two QB's are statistically. And this is with Texas having a horrible O-line that did no favors:

QB A:

168 / 268 for 62.7% completion. 2,123 yards averaging 7.9 yards a pass 18 TD's and 6 picks.

QB B:

157 / 252 for 62.3% completion, 2,193 yards averaging 8.7 yards a pass, 19 TD's and 6 picks.

I guess they both must suck? Or they both are having decent years?

Arch has played 1 more cupcake
Reed has played 1 more power 4 opponent

Most of Arch’s yards passing are passes caught behind the line of scrimmage

Also Arch represents most of Utrans offense since they can’t run

Are we making wagers on how long it takes for dildos to get posted in this thread?

Marge has already posted once and refrained which is quite remarkable for her standards.

Manning: 146.9 rating, 69 carries for 203 yards, GREATEST QB EVA
Reed: 155.5 rating, 69 carries for 378 yards, projected to be bottom half of SEC QBs

In short, Reed is a better passer than Manning, a better runner than Manning, and has exceeded all expectations.

Reed - 69 rushes, 378 yards, 6 TD's

Manning - 69, 203 yards, 6 TD's

Overall A&M has over 1800 yards rushing to Texas' 1218.

Reed's 378 accounts for ~20% of Aggy's rush offense

Mannings 203 accounts for ~17% of Longhorns rush offense

Manning played in 10 games last year

Reed was the backup to start and played in 8 games

QB A:

Hyped up as the best QB prospect of all time…

…which he is not.

QB B:

Projected as a solid P5 QB…

…which he is.

Now take out one of your cupcake games

Or agree to reassess after we play Samford

You’ve lost this one badly

Look, nobody is denying this.

However, if you are going to say Reed is good, average or acceptable as a starting QB in the SEC you cannot then in the next breath say Manning is the worst QB in the league and is trash and the book on him is written. That's the point I'm making with comparing statistics.

The fact that Reed is good and lead A&M to where it is this year is what I'm benchmarking Manning against. I'm not trying to make a case that Reed isn't good or his stats are trash.

Only stat that really matters…

Temu: 2 losses
Marcel: 0 losses

Fair enough.

Edit: It would be interesting to see the comparison again on the Monday of Thanksgiving week.

For sure the ultimate comparison is going to be at the end of the year. A&M has clearly had the better season and better QB play up to this point in the season.

The fact that you people are so knee-jerk defensive as to miss the forest from the trees on a consistent basis is puzzling to me. How do you people keep a job where you have to communicate and work with other people?

I know Arch scored in College Station last year but I can’t recall if Reed did anything except get sacked and throw interceptions.

looking forward to a good game between to evenly matched QBs this year

I've said it a lot myself. But come on, the first 6 weeks of this season had a new Arch Manning is burning thread every 5 minutes.
