Clase and Ortiz "conspired with bettors to rig pitches in professional baseball games so that the bettors would profit from illegal wagers made based on that inside information," the indictment read. "The defendants agreed in advance with their co-conspirators to throw specific types and speeds of pitchers, and their co-conspirators used that inside information to place wagers on those pitches.

Is there any league that hasn’t been impacted by this? Every sport is compromised.

Most SEC complaints I see are against the refs. It’s obvious some are questionable. But what if we’re missing the bigger, more insidious, picture? What if it’s your favorite player, from your team, who promised to tank his performance?

The Cleveland franchise should be shut down for changing their name alone

The only fanbases who don't even want to take look are Alabama and UGA fans.

It is. So you belive that all coaches and players are honest and are just playing with their hearts and giving their best effort?

No they are operating in their own best interests. But why would someone making millions risk losing its all to make just a little more?

greed is a sin for a reason.

But also, when you're dealing with organized crime, it's not always possible to say no.

Exactly. Because when people get a taste of greed, it becomes never enough. It happens all the time in the world we live in. It’s like married couples that cheat on their spouse.
