I scooped the following from AR board
quote:

what I picture for a year-in, year-out 8 win baseline team. Which I think is what we as a fanbase want.

In 98, Nutt announces his intentions to win National championship at AR and AR proceeded to win the west 2 times outright and a share of a third.
Playing twice in SEC championship game.
They never got to the national championship but They were in the picture several times.

Now, the fans want an 8 win baseline¿?¿?

No shite. Crushing it now from a program and marketing standpoint. Cope.

But hey yall won the AAC under Herman in 2015? Making waves.

The eight win baseline is reasonable from a pre-NIL era. Now that the SEC plays nine conference games and parity has reached a new level with NIL, that is not always going to be reasonable.

I don't need an uppity rebel fan telling me that part of our fanbase are idiots.

Luke 6:20-21
Then he looked up at his disciples and said: ‘Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God. Blessed are you who are hungry now, for you will be filled. Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh.’

The example I gave was a decade after that.

They proved for most of a decade, they were contenders. In the SEC

I don't see how wanting an 8 win floor eliminates the idea of finishing higher in up years.

And never regretted a minute of it. 9 and 10 win seasons are hollow when playing weak competition, ask texas.

That might not be a bad hire for them really. Sometimes you just need a guy to stabilize the program and make it more desirable for a better coach.

Like with out Shula keeping the program clean and out of NCAA trouble for the most part, we don't likely land Saban. Even after Shula, Spurrier was like nope.

I don't see the guy ever winning a NC, but I could see him making Arkansas respectable. Especially if he learns anything from his time at LSU.

Houston was 7-1 and what was their attendance last Saturday on a beautiful day vs WVU?? I'll help you out, the stadium was half full. How about you sit this out and let people talk about real programs.
