Doesn’t have any other options than Lane? It’s like they can’t think outside the box and find a coach just as good as Lane. I have seen LSU make legitimate reasonable options for HC positions but Florida is going all in on Lane. That’s fine if you get him but you’ll be scrambling to find a coach in late December.

I would say Clark Lea is just as good. He is winning games at Vanderbilt.

Same thing was said about Kevin Sumlin with Johnny, Dan Mullan w/ Dak, Dabo w/ Deshaun, Jimbo w/ crab legs.

They can all ride the gifted horses. I want to see them w/ success afterward.

Got a lot to prove on that one. Lane hasn’t even made it to an SECC game yet. But he has done a great job, especially in adapting to the new world of college football; and he is a terrific offensive coach. Saban/Alabama changed college football and forced other changes. He won at a level never seen before from within the toughest division in the toughest league in college football history. 6 NCs in 12 years. Ranked #1 at sometime during the year for 15 straight years - the previous record was 7. Etc.

Shoot they might be scrambling mid January if all their eggs are In Lane’s basket. One playoff win and Lane will be coaching past the portal opening as well

I think they have plenty of options. Quite a few that nobody here knows about because the AD isn't talking

Do they not have any other options in mind?

And no, I don’t think it’s sad.

In fairness, who would you say is just as good as Lane that would leave their current team?

That our coach wasn’t liked by players, made excuses, threw players under the bus and most of all was being paid an enormous amount and wasn’t winning

Auburn has gone through 3 coaches In the Last 5 years not counting 2 interim coaches. One was fired a year after being hired. AU is the ONE school In the SEC that can’t say shite about firing couches…. And you just fired another.

Just say your feelings are hurt and move on. Has Lane signed his extension yet? Asking for a friend.
