Now that Billy is fired we need to start chanting “play trammel” when Tennessee and FSU come to the swamp

Some are saying that DJ’s camp are making demands to play him behind the scenes due to his nil. It’s not a contract but apparently dummy billy promised to play him no matter what

It would probably take a KY loss for them to play him.

Go back to the first snap of the season vs LIU

Lagway runs from pressure that wasn’t there and there’s a Receiver wide the fk Open in the flat 10 yards from him and he takes the tackle for a loss.

It hasn’t changed

There is something off with Lagway. The talent is there but the results don't show it. He is slow to read coverage, making poor reads, mechanics are terrible, forcing throws, missing open receivers, runs like an o lineman.

I agree, we need to see other options at this point, let the new coach try and fix Lagway if he stays.

And for some reason, he's started this bad habit of flick/throwing the ball side arm. Lots of stuff to fix with his ball play.

Everyone told him how great he was in the off-season. Saban would call it rat poison. Combine that with the injuries and lack of practice and he never had a chance.

I wonder how many pro careers are going to be derailed by the college bag? He will still get drafted, but this regression is massive.

To be fair though, he never was good at making reads, he often forced throws, and his mechanics weren’t great. I knew his progression in these areas would be hard earned with the injuries. I just didn’t expect him to completely lose the deep ball. In 2024 he had the 3rd highest deep ball accuracy in the country.

Lagways footwork and pocket presence are shite.

Im tellin ya'll man, go watch the 1st offensive play vs LIU.

He takes trhe snap, drifts back and then runs from the pocket (no pressure) and takes a loss while the WR in the flat is W I D E open for a nice gain if he just throws him the ball

Same issues now.

He is who he is

Think of all the nil wasted on DJ Lagway we could’ve helped Todd golden with some 5 star guards

Once teams learned he struggled with drop coverage he was in some trouble. I let myself be fooled by his early deep throws and ignored that. A few people were pointing it out though late last season when it wasn't popular to do so.
