The Purdue job will kill his career. He should have built something at Memphis before Mizzou, he should have stayed at UNLV and waited for something better than Purdue. Nothing wrong with honing your skills and waiting for the right opportunity.

He will get canned, get his buyout, and close out his career as a successful DC. There's worse ways to go.

Wasn't there some shady NIL stuff going on at UNLV? His QB claimed to not be getting paid what he was promised. I don't blame him for jumping to Purdue, although I don't think he will be successful there. That is one of the toughest P4 jobs, and if he couldn't win at Mizzou...

Yeah, there was the issue with the starting QB, but he got pass that and had a great season, then he left a good program for Mullen to take over. IMO he should have stayed, stacked wins, and waited for something a little more competitive. Hell even Arkansas with 2 decent coordinators would be better.

If he played his cards right he would have been Arkansas head coach fairly easily too.

Said it was a mistake when he took the job. Should have stayed at UNLV. He'll never HC at the FBS level again after this.
