How many ranked teams has he beat. Nobody is paying attention to Indiana!

He's 64 and in a cush conference. He's not going anywhere.

Indiana is historically worse than Kansas and now they’re fricking #2 and destroying everyone.

It equally bothers me and gives me hope that it’s possible for any power 4 traditional bottom feeder.

Agreed on the ranked teams but people are paying attention to Indiana now. This is unheard of up hear

Kind of ironic when you think about who you just fired and gave a ten year guaranteed contract to.

Cignetti wouldn't last four years in the SEC.

This ain't the B1G.

I mean it makes sense to go for a younger coach. I’m just enjoying IU being respectable. I will admit the SEC is much deeper than the BIG and I dunno how anybody can say otherwise.

I think the buyout if he leaves for another job is 15 million. I could be wrong but I think I saw that somewhere.

So he could technically last longer than Kelly?

I'll always love IU because of Coach Knight. It was bullshite what the administration at that time did to him and look what has happened since.

If Cignetti were 10-20 years younger, Indiana might be sweating at holding on to him but I think at this stage in his life and with Indiana being the place to finally give him his shot, he will likely feel a sense of loyalty and satisfaction at staying and continuing to try and build a legacy as “The Guy” there in Bloomington.

Yeah also, Cignetti’s wife is a born and raised Hoosier from what I’ve read. He’s getting huge dollars from IU to keep up the momentum. He could probably get Ohio croots who may have gone to Kentucky in the past, and maybe be in line for some PA, DelMarVa recruits too. He’s got an awesome gig in Bloomington.
