While the offense preformed very below average (excluding the final 2 drives). i was actually quite proud of the defense in this game.

We got pressure on Sellers multiple times and defended the run much better than previous games and when it seemed like they were gonna score 7 on some drives we didn't break and held them to 3. And if you take out the one dumb moment on special teams we held a very motivated and at times high powered offense to 15 points.

With that being said im proud of our d, especially since they had to be on the field much more than usual and I believe this bye week will do wonders for both sides of the ball.

The dumb moment on special teams should have been called a block in the back on USCe.

My only complaint is that we should have known that shot play was coming after Ty's fumble.

Yeah it couldve been, and there was an obvious hold on 4th and 12 conversion they had

My only issue is everytime there was an all out blitz called we couldn’t get pressure and got burned. An elusive QB often gets enough time to pull off a successful play.

This is my biggest complaint about Wommack. EVERY TIME he calls the "all out"/"zero" blitz we get severely burnt. I wish he'd take it off his play sheet. It's a worthless play.

Defense isn’t great but it travelled and that’s a positive sign

Our coaches out smart themselves sometimes. Grubb and Wommack need to be more simplified at times. The fourth and 12 conversion was maddening. Grubb then throws the ball deep on fourth and one.

They've played really well on the road for the most part. I know they gave up some big runs to UGA, mainly due to D. Jackson (what was his snap count vs SC?), they really stood up when it mattered and helped clinch the game on that 4th down stop.

Again, outside of a few busted plays vs Missouri and that awful prevent defense TD drive at the end, they really limited what other offenses have tried to do.

Gotta give them and Wommack some deserved credit at some point.

Wish they tracked dropped catchable balls as errors for the WR vs a stat hit to the QBs.

Love the talent at WR and TE that Bama has, but dang if it doesn't get frustrating.

To your point, the entire team played their butts off. The defense knew they needed to pickup a bit of the load, and they certainly did. Happy for the W and the bye.
