We got progrums like UT, Penn State, UF, LSU and FSU opening up with absolutely no coaching talent (outside of Lane.. who is probably not going anywhere). Wow.

We need some former players or NFL straggler coaches to pop back into the college coaching scene, or something.

This year's coaching vacancies is insane.

Was Dan Lanning considered a top candidate the same year Kelly was hired at LSU?
Was Curt Cignetti considered a top coaching candidate 2 years ago?

There isn’t very many dominant head coaching candidates anymore. Most of the field are guys that still have a lot of proving to do. They will get paid like Saban though. This isn’t sustainable. I’m sure some of these guys will hit become great coaches but that’s if they get the time. People are so impatient now all these schools are going to do is get themselves in a lot of financial trouble and sooner or later be forced to stay with a coach they don’t want because they can’t afford to change another coach anymore.
