If true they must have his replacement already locked down. LSU would be hard for Kiffin to turn down imho.

Would make me sick knowing we could have hired him in 2022.

34-14 over the time isn’t exactly bad. Many programs in the SEC would kill for that. But you knew he’d never win a Nati, and what’s the point in dragging feet for another year or 2.

Wasn’t nearly as bad as Jimbo situation.

True but the new expanded playoff fits better for Kiffin’s strengths and weaknesses.

It seems his meeting with his boss today didn't go well...per the LSU page here. I am not an LSU alum or fan, but definitely appreciate the history and tradition of LSU athletics. How in the world did Kelly think he was in any position to push back on his boss? The pure arrogance!

Coaching LSU football is a high mark in a person's career. I coached for a while and would have loved to had been the assistant to the assistant defensive analyst at LSU. Kelly really will not do any better...and certainly not after this. He had a chance to leave with class and show appreciation for the opportunity LSU gave him. Most coaches would dream to coach LSU. But this guy does this? Horrible and no class.

Didn’t Kelly have a winning overall AND SEC record? Who would want to coach there after this? Imagine coaching a team whose fanbase thinks they’re on the same level as Bama
