Petrino and whoever took over for Gundy havent had much success, but…

-Winless UCLA fired their head coach then famously beat Penn State the next week

-It happened again yesterday when after firing Trent Dilfer on Monday, UAB went out and beat #22 Memphis

Cant take this next game for granted

UF will come ready to play and will beat us if we take them lightly.

That would be Doug Meacham. He's playing with QB3 starting due to injuries. He was also hampered by inheriting Todd Grantham as his DC, but he rectified that after one game.

Napier also called the plays on offense. This will be interesting. Does Florida's offense lose brainpower without Napier being on the staff, or did Napier calling the plays actually get in the way of Florida being successful on offense? Who the frick really knows at this point, but we'll find out in 12 days.

I think zook was fired the week of our game in 2002 as well. Don't think I'll ever live that one down.

Used to be when a coach was fired the general expectation was the players would quit GAF and give up, but in the modern era every one of their starters knows they have a free pass into the portal so are going to give every ounce of what they have to get some more good film should they decide to leave for more money. We are clearly, objectively the better team but they are still dangerous.
