I have a theory that had Bama not lost the FSU game, they wouldn’t have gotten better, probably would have been cocky and lost to UGA. I also think the losses last year to teams like Vandy and UT absolutely helped DeBoer’s approach with them this year. I hope that’s the case, anyway. Would be nice to have a coach that actually adjusts and learns, especially one unfamiliar with the SEC. If it helps him become a good SEC coach, I’m thankful for the rough first season.
