I remember him being kinda annoyed when Reshad Jones got a penalty for laying out Justin Blackmon in the Oklahoma State game. Ended up resulting in a loss.

That one was worse than the goal line fumble.

What they aren't pointing out is Arnold is holding the leading tip of the ball as his hands break the plane. No one holds a football like that with control so I think the refs determined that the ball was already slipping out at that point before the ball was punched out.
Objectively I can see how the call could have gone either way but given their reviewed judgement, it should have been a fumble recovery and a score for Georgia since Jones never went down on the ground after recovering the fumble and ran into the endzone.

The officials saw a fumble. that's why they didn't signal a TD. They just had to see who recovered the fumble. They wrongly blew the whistle to stop the play instead of letting it play out like they are supposed to do. That cost us the TD.
Here is a super slo-mo of the play that clearly shows CJ knocking the ball loose and Wilson knocking the ball back and Jones grabbing it.

Yea, that is a good angle and view but as I said, it looks like Arnold might have been intentionally holding the tip of the ball perhaps to prevent it from being punched but in slow motion it looks like the ball is slipping out of his hand before it is punched and my guess is that is why the refs confirmed the call on the field.

There's a still shot circulating on the internet of the pylon cam view with a red line that makes it look like he's holding the front end of the football across the plane of the goal line, but you can't actually see the nose of the football in that view.

I looked at the video from the pylon cam frame by frame (muted Sean McDonough doing his best Auburn fan impression) and even though it's blurry you can see that CJ's fist had already displaced the ball and and caused Jackson to lose control before the moment captured in that red line image, and also before the nose of the ball crossed the plane. In that redline photo, the ball is actually further back relative to his fingers because it's no longer in his grasp.

McDonough and that "rules expert", Matt something or another (who has never taken Georgia's side on a call unless it was obvious to a legally blind person), were watching through their anti-Red-and-Black glasses. They acted like the video showed it was a touchdown, and that's complete BS.

n expert said the line wasn't drawn properly that cameras destroy it and the line should have been angled and the ball was already moving with the first punch ...

That clown and McElroy also now have the entire Auburn fanbase convinced that Kirby was calling a time out.

That's an Auburn fan classic. They're mad the officials didn't penalize Kirby for pointing out that Auburn was repeatedly simulating the snap. Sort of like blaming Richt for an out of control game that Nick Fairley caused with his repeated late and dirty hits on Murray.
