Imagine being afraid of a guy who hasn't won more than 7 games in a season.

Great coach ga tech is horrible for football now .. just keeps winning
Add great school tradition.. money .. great coordinators .. I’d hate to play

I knew Bama would take a step back in the post-Saban world. I did not know that in less than 24 months they would be afraid of GA Tech.

Misunderstanding me … I’m saying if when key gets sec job

They'll probably beat Georgia

I keep up with the nerds because my brother-in-law is a GT grad. Brent Key is a fricking fantastic coach. He has those guys playing disciplined, hard-nose football. I doubt he goes anywhere as a GT grad and former player, but he would be no worse than the third best coach in the SEC right now. Hell, I would take him over any coach in the SEC besides Kirby Smart. If you doubt how good of a job he's doing, you aren't paying attention.

Jokes on you - Clemson is overrated as is Key. The SEC program that hires him will be taking on a coach who has feasted on a weak conference and will get ate up in the SEC.

He ain't leaving Tech.

Tech is perfect for him. Top half of the ACC and ecstatic if he wins nine games.

Paul Johnson was also good at Tech. Doesn’t mean I’d wager on him winning big in the SEC.

Paul, for as good of a coach as he was, and I respect the hell out of him, would have never cut it at an SEC(save Miss State and Vandy) school b/c he didn’t care about recruiting and his O-lines were always smallish.
Key cares about recruiting, is very good at it, and actually values big OL, as he was one himself.

He’s having success against a weak conference. People elevate him because he almost beat Georgia last year. He’s a damn good coach - don’t get me wrong - but GT will fall back to earth when he doesn’t have King.

Key is not getting a SEC job ever. He loves GA Tech and he’s going to build a dynasty there

Aaron Philo is an even better QB than King. Prolific passer. Broke the state record held by Gunner Stockton. They'll be fine.
The test will be when Buster leaves.

Beating Clemson when Clemson is down and almost beating Georgia doesn’t mean shite. They were in a dog fight with a bad Colorado team as well.
Key isn’t going to live up to the hype but it’s a fun story.

Ok.
We're obviously not going to agree here.
Have a good night
