Joe Burrow would have gone that extra 2% against Ohio state.

Which would make it 102%.

In other words, that team would have blown OSU the frick out.

Go look at the playoff stats. No team was touching the tigers in that playoff.

Result would have been exactly the same but great thread about a potential game 6 seasons ago after week 1 this year.

We all hope you post more things in the future.

What would have been a good sugar bowl matchup in 2009?

That 2019 LSU team was also a few weeks removed fron bludgeoning a Kirby Smart led Georgia defense.

Defense didnt matter. Nothing did. Its why people bring up 2019 LSU in 2025.

My dream sugar Bown match up in 2009 would be Boise State vs Alabama

Agreed but Clemson was no slouch, and LSU could’ve easily put 49 or more on them.

I really don’t think any defense in the history of college football was stopping that offense. They broke the system that year.

Disagree. Clemson had won 29 games in a row. That was a clash of titans

Dude if you guys barely beat that shitty 2019 Texas team by 7 then 2004 USC and 2005 USC and 2005 Texas woulda butt raped you by 30 which were all about 4 times better than that 2019 Texas team on their worst days.

Great job of comparing teams from different eras. That shite always works out.

nowhere in your whining did you answer what he specifically said, and to compound it, you reference a week 2 road game for comparison. i'll repeat what the guy you incorrectly responded to said, that playoff LSU team wasn't losing to anyone from that year, or any year before or after.

Semis told us Ohio State and Clemson were about even.

And we saw what then happened in the natty.

Ohio state fan, here. LSU would’ve cruised.

LSU would’ve rolled

LSU was head and shoulders above everyone else that year.

Oklahoma was by far the worst playoff team. The only equal teams were Ohio State and Clemson

Burrow would’ve cooked Ohio State, they couldn’t even stop Trevor Lawrence throwing to Higgins and a bunch of nobodies, Burrow and Chase would’ve gone off

And 05 Texas barely beat a 5-6 Texas A&M at College Station

Everybody has close games

So many game altering calls against Ohio State. They should have been up 24 -0 on Clemson in the 3rd quater. But ref called targeting after Lawrence fumbled and Ohio State took it back for touchdown

Offenses changed between 2010 and 2015. Those teams of the 2000's, while good, did not have defenses built to stop any of the playoff teams of 2019. They were definitely not going to stop an offense that had one of the best QBs in the NFL today coupled with the 2 very best WRs in the NFL today.

I agree that OSU got screwed on calls in that game. But I’m sure they are good with a natty from last year. Clemson is gonna regress back to mediocrity even in the second tier ACC sooner rather than later. OSU and LSU will be just fine
