Because I say so. That’s 2 more than Alabama’s 18 and 11 more than Auburn! And we did it in one day.

Vandy was a power in the day when players would literally die to play the game. That was real man football.

It blows my mind that way back then, Tulane was an SEC powerhouse too.

What’s your point? They were smaller back then but the same size as the other teams. No different than today size comparison between teams wise but they were a hell of alot tougher than the product today and played for the love of the game.

And they won 6 national championships between 1906-1922 and they don’t recognize any of them.

Most of the soldiers in wwll were small, were they not real men? Good grief.

Btw, I wasn’t the one who downvoted you.

Claim it bitch.

Pavia is about to experience pain like he’s never felt this year. 3-9 season incoming.

Undefeated in 1921 and 1922.

That’s a natty by Auburn standards.

I didn’t take their comment in a negative way.

I thought the comment was an ode to the 5’7 140lbs men.

Umm..please get hit by a 220 pound safety and tell me it is even close to one who is 140...The receiver being bigger still does not make it even. Now no helmet head shots may...but they were classy back then..didn"t go for the head. Think it wasn't til the later in the 80's headshots happened more often. Wasn't reported back then so can't find it...but head shots eithout helmets were rare, mistakes happened, but I do not think it was ever meant to injure someone

We’re talking about 120+ years ago, hell, kids are bigger now than when I played 50 years ago, no comparison in players but back then the other teams were comparable sizes. Do yo get it? And back in the 1900s there was a season where 19 players died, not injured, but died playing the game. They were going to ban football until teddy roosevelt stepped in and saved it.

You’re talking about apples and oranges here.

It was also a time when players went to class (for the most part)
