And the biggest part of the hold up is one of his previous schools is salty about him leaving and refusing to send the required paperwork to the NCAA. They are basically holding him hostage after he's gone...

The guy made his initial commitment in 2017 as a member of the 2018 recruiting class. Does anyone even know how many schools he has been enrolled at/played for over the past 7 years?

Yes. They know exactly.

Rahsul Faison timeline
2019: Marshall – grayshirt (took classes, wasn't on the team)
2020: Lackawanna – did not play
2021: Snow – no game action
2022: Snow
2023: Utah State
2024: Utah State
FWIW, Both Lackawanna and Snow College here in UT play in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I, so the Pavia decision would apply to his time at those schools.

I guess I still haven’t been able to wrap my mind around the number of players now days who are playing 6, 7, infinity seasons. At this rate eventually there will be a player with two income streams, NIL and social security benefits.

Gotta be Utah St. wtf. We can do the whole michigan saga but one transfer I guess is impossible to rule on... gimme a break
Edit: I hope they approve him, obviously, but at this point I just want an answer so we can get the right guys going with the 1s in camp

They’ll have to play part-time as not to screw with their state retirement too!

I've posted about this previously. There will soon be no eligibility rules relative to the number of years an athlete can participate in a college sport be it FB, BB, baseball, track or tiddlywinks. They are no longer student athletes but are paid semiprofessionals. In some cases unproven freshman players are making more money than a drafted NFL player.
There have been an untold number of very good college players who never made the NFL but can still perform at the college level. If a guy is good enough at the college level and wants to hang around 7-8 years and a school is willing to have him, so what?
