Said that the top three SEC basketball teams would not even be in the the top 8 in the big east conference, not sure about this what are your thoughts on this?

Might be right. We say the same thing about other conferences football teams.

wasn't sure about that statement , but after looking into it more , I agree he may be right. The statement sounds bad but the Big east is pretty damned good

tennessee vs georgetown 90-78
tennessee vs marquette 80- 68
tennessee is 4-2 in SEC play
marquete is 8-0 in big east play and georgetown is one of rhe 7 of 8 ranked Big east teams
the fact is the big east is as overrated as the SEC is underrated...please dear god tell me how you can have 8 losses and still be ranked???? thats a fricking joke
its all a pile of dog shite and assumptions...all media outlets hoping on the SEC is terrible bandwagon while they collectively circle jerk the big east
now dont get me wrong, the big east is far far far and away better than the SEC...but you cant watch a LSU game, watch thornton go off, watch johnson swat shots, watch that D, watch them jump out to 20 and 30 point leads in conference play going to half time....and not think this team could takes some steps in the tourney??? gove me a break, good basketball is good basketball

With #23 Georgetown on a bad skid.. including losing last night and #22 ND on a 3 game skid themselves.. also losing last night the Big East should have only 6 ranked teams come Monday.

georgetown shouldve already been unranked when th week started...but for the same reasons the SEC will find a hard time seeing the rankings, big east teams will find it hard to creep out of them

Dicky V. is right on this one. Big East basketball this year is like the SEC in football. Or at least the SEC before this past year.

Which has what to do with the Big East?
If you want to compare the Big 12-SEC well the Big 12 does have that win plus a Mizzou win over I believe UGA. But 1-5 in SEC play Arky has 2 wins over youre worldbeaters in Texas and Oklahoma. And SC went to then ranked Baylor and picked up a win.
The Big 12 tried to claim it was the best in football but choked that away when they played the SEC head-to-head. Now theyre struggling to beat the SEC in the SECs worst sport.

i mean we have good to great wins over the big east, the pac, the big XII...but they are all easily ignored for the reasons i stated above

I heard that and he's insane. When the dust settles, the SEC will surprise in March.This isn't one of the league's best years,but its not as putrid as its made out to be.
