Would have been a great fit years ago. But what do they bring now?

The Big 12 and WVU claim the SEC is trying to sabotage the Big 12 by stealing West Virginia.

I don't think even a B1G show/reporter has thrown this out there.

Which in turn would sabotage the SEC

If the SEC plans to separate the basketball media deal from football, then yes. A league with UK, UNC, and KU would be money. Toss in Duke, and it would likely be the 3rd ranked college league behind B1G and SEC football.

It hasn't that I know of. It only comes from Big12(mainly Locked on podcasts) and WVU fans.

I have nothing against WV but it's a bad fit and they add nothing. Pass

It would bring the Pittsburgh market, but seems odd considering that was a hard no several years ago.

WV is far more southern in culture and tradition than Mizzou, imo.

What this could indicate is that this might be the mate that comes with North Carolina, would also penetrate Big 10 territory.

The Pittsburgh market did nothing for the ACC or BE. It's a pro sports town.

Ohio State has as many fans in N West Virginia as WVU.

Neither of them are. WVU is rust belt. That's B1G.

Mizzou was the worst addition the SEC has ever made.

Sure, but not in a good way. There is a reason the ACC never invited them despite being desperate for football relevance and WVU coming off several really good seasons back then.

Yea I’m sure UNC wants to be associated with WVU, a team they repeatedly blocked for ACC membership, when they eventually join the SEC. If we are poaching UNC and that domino starts, we will have about 8 schools better than WVU begging us for a spot.

Why do you insist on being such a dumbass? In what way is the big 10 the top league??

Yes, academics. That doesn’t apply to the SEC, only market share.

Because of academics. While I agree the SEC adding WV seems like fake news to me.
