How do they explain Bama being ranked higher than last year after a 4 loss season and less Saban players on the roster?

Because they didn't attend public schools in Louisiana?

Probably for the same reason they have an LSU team that had 4 losses and finished the season unranked completely #10.

I was going to question Aggie over LSU but I forgot how A&M ran the ball down their throat last season.

Okay then find me one single legitimate preseason top 25 that has Bama #1.

The #1 college football game on the planet for starters.

Not arguing if they should be #1 or not. Your reasoning was retarded, sorry you can't see that.

My reasoning is that if there isn’t one legitimate preseason top 25 with Bama #1 then it’s pretty suspect they have them #1 here.

Adding to that is the fact they weren’t #1 last year.

This isn't a poll, the overall rating is determined by the player ratings and they've deemed Alabama has the best roster in the country- PFF also agrees

LSU fans dont need to even think about talking to Bama, Ohio st., Texas, Oklahoma, Georgia, USC, ND, Clemson, Penn St., Michigan and Oregon fans if they cant beat the Aggies.

yeah sorry but Bama at 1 makes very little sense. I doubt they are improving their roster talent that much, and they lose their QB from last year.

Clemson at 7 is a joke, they lost to 2,6,24 on this list with only a win over SMU. It doesnt feel like they upgraded enough for that jump.

SC at 24 feels low but I am biased so ill eat that one.

A&M at 8? really.

It's not a preseason top25.

It's obviously a ranking that is based heavily, if not solely, on the ratings of the players for each team. Maybe other factors like facilities and such are also included, I don't know.

So where can you find Alabama #1? Probably in the amount of overall talent in the program, also up there with facilities and most every other category as well. It was true last year and Alabama is still recruiting at a high level, so I doubt it's changed.

As far as any top25 rankings go, that's going to vary since it's a game and things have a % of chance to happen. It'll be different for everyone.

People keep saying this like it's a bad thing.

Jake Coker (2015)- won the natty in his first year as a starter
Jalen Hurts the following year- went to the natty in his first year as a starter
Tua in 2018- went to the natty in his first year as a starter
Mac Jones in 2020- Won the natty in his first year as a starter
Bryce Young in 2021- Went to the natty in his first year as a starter

Milroe is the only outlier in the last decade. "They lose their QB" is not viewed as a negative among Alabama fans, I can assure you.

It's a pretty loaded and veteran group across the board. There is a lot of age and experience on both lines of scrimmage- two senior inside linebackers, and every starter returns in the secondary.

This isn’t their preseason top 25 or where the schools are ranked.

It’s based on overall roster talent/player ratings.
