In Softball, Karlyn Perkins at UT set the softball record for a pitch at 78.2 mph. Guess what? That's from 43 feet away. Do the math - oh wait, let me do that for you. 78.2/43=1.818 and then multiply that x 60.5 and you get 110.025. At 60 feet 6 inches as the men play, that's equivalent to a 110 mph fastball in baseball. And the movement on a softball? Crazy, dude.
I'd much rather face Paul Skenes than Karlyn Perkins from their respective distances. Real sports? Do tell.

The list of people throwing 98 in the mid 80s was like 10 people long in the world, and I don't think Nolan Ryan or Rob Dibble were suiting up for your JUCO team. Second, with a softball bat in hand, every single major league baseball player would absolutely smoke this girl pitcher you are talking about. Comparing her to Paul Skenes is just the height of absurdity, but that is the general level of sports knowledge and analysis I have come to expect from Texas A&M and Florida fans in the SEC.

Only a few and several alters of the few.
Most LSU fans (as in 80%) only care about Football and Baseball. The other 19% care about men’s basketball as well and the final 1% care about WBB. I don’t know anyone who gives a shite about softball.

I am a fan of neither LSU nor A & M (although I generally pull for SEC teams when they play OOC), but I have to say in observing A & M since they joined the SEC that they never seem to come through when they are highly ranked or have the highest expectations in any sport.
Both baseball and softball teams are an example this year. And it seems that Texas 8 and 4 is something their record in football does not disprove.
