Makes no sense at all.

Last year the UGA/Clemson game was at Noon too.

In 2005, the last Texas championship season, all we heard from Ohio State was, "Texas can't win IN THE SHOE AT NIGHT!" They had never lost a night game at home up to that point. It was 2 top 5 teams and really a great game.

If you want the quick experience, start at the 14:00 minute mark.

Fox and thier noon kickoffs was the key catalyst for OU and Texas to say "Sup SEC, you up" low those many years ago.

And the following year Ohio State beat Texas in Austin in a #1 vs #2 matchup.
Funny how you didn't bother to mention that game

It’s a bummer, but I would have to think Texas is pleased. 11 AM is much different than 7 PM in the horseshoe.

For sure. As the road team I always love 11:00am kickoffs.

Which is probably why it was given a noon kickoff. Why Fox are given prime games makes no sense when they can't have late prime time games during baseball season.

All of the biggest Big Ten home games are televised on The Big Noon Kickoff on Fox. Has nothing to do with baseball.

Pleased in a sense of it is better for us but as a fan I'd rather be there to experience the Shoe at night. There's not going to be enough chances of this happening so when the chance arises, the powers that be need to make it happen.

If we miss playing a big matchup within the SEC at night, theres a chance in a few years that we get that game. Not every year will Texas get a chance to play Ohio State. I had plans to go to this game had it been at night, but it being a noon kickoff doesn't really hit the same for the price it's going to cost that weekend.

I'd rather have it play at night and if we lose we lose, it's early in the season and won't make it break us making the playoffs but the experience of playing at night in the Shoe as a fan would be a lot of fun.

I like it.
Morning road games are treated more business like by most high ranked teams. It's hell to get college age awake before noon, I think Sark gets them awake. Sark has a good record getting his team ready for early big games on the road recently.
2024 @ Michigan, W
2023 @ Alabama, W
2022 Bama in Austin, 20-19 close home game loss

In addition, the Texas players are going to feel downright Frisky with the 25-30 degree cooler weather.
