Texas Clinches SEC All Sports Trophy in First Year of Conference Membership
It’s fun to be here in the SEC!
I’m assuming y’all aren’t going to move the goalposts again, try and convince us Texas still has not won shite, that none of this matters anyway because the People’s Republic of Austin remains a liberal cesspool, or distract us with dildo photos, are y’all?
Or is will this be a new dawn, with the SEC displaying true Southern hospitality by fully welcoming our Bevo into its stadiums, minds, and hearts…??

If Mercedes Benz does’t start to play nice with Bevo, don’t blame me if the SEC Football Championship suddenly calls JerryWorld and Arlington home…aggy (who also invites Bevo into their stadium home) knows how this all works…for reference, please feel free to ask them!

It appears that you already know . I’ve never even heard of this “award”. You didn’t win in football ,basketball (men or women’s), softball, gymnastics, and baseballs still going. So I guess this is like the award for being pretty good at everything?? You could put a gun to my head and I couldn’t tell you who else has won this because no fan of any other school had ever mentioned it.

This attitude is why tex should have just joined the pac, this is the sec, sure fans love to talk shite any chance/sport and a couple of us cherish track baseball or basketball hell even women’s bball. But make no mistake it’s a football first conference, everything else is just gravy, a mere highlight of the actual entree. Until you win a conference title in football you ain’t shite. Maybe your schedule will always be as generous as last years(doubtful, and you still didn’t seal it) but god speed and good luck there second fiddle.

I agree with you. So surprised, and glad that we made the conference championship in the first year and hate that we didn’t win it. Hopefully we’ll continually be in the conversation, but most of us recognize that until we win that, nothing else matters. But, at the same time, I can also be proud that we’re competing well in this conference.

Dude, not to get political, but this sounds like a statement that would normally come out of Washington…
This is an SEC award, long established before Texas ever entered the picture… Texas sure didn’t make up (and grant ourselves) a trophy out of thin air, like aggy!

That is my point. It’s so insignificant that no fanbase of any other SEC school that has ever won this in 16 years that I’ve been on this site has ever mentioned it . Ummm, I am fine with Georgia talking some shite, but Texas came in second to Georgia in men’s SEC football last year, and played in the NCAA Football National Championship football semi-finals last year…
And we put 12 players into the NFL this spring, plus secured the number 1 high school football recruiting class last year… It’s not like we’re just ignoring football…
Yes, it would be great to now win an SEC football championship and another National Championship… but by most objective measures we’ve had a pretty good first SEC year…
